Cannot load to windows xp os

Hello,
I have a dell desktop copyright 2000-2003 with windows xp.
When I go to turn o n the omputer I am showing a screen that reads as follows Intel(r)915G/915V/910GL PCI Accelerated SVGA BIOS Then it goes on to show the build #.
I Cannot get the computer to boot up to the windows xp os. Help, please!

What happens after that? Does it stay on that screen, does it give a BSoD does it go into a boot loop?

See if you can boot into safe mode and do a restore. If not try boot inf from the installation disk and going into the command console and do a CHKDSK /F. If you do not have the install disk then try downloading Hirens boot CD.

Contact dell for a restore disk. I beleive they only charge $10. Don't waste your time or money if you cant read the activation code on the windows sticker on the case.

How is that going to help him? He still will have to activate Windows and if he can't read the sticker he's going to have to call Microsoft to figure out what to do.
