Hey guys,

I just upgraded my gaming rig and put some of the old parts into my secondary rig.

Following parts are in the computer:

Intel i3-2100
4gb (2x2gb) 1600
1x ATI HD5850
2x 7200rpm HDD (1 caviar green, 1 black)
1x Intel ssd
4 USB slots used at all times.
1x DVDrw drive
Case is Antec 300 with stock fans

Power supply is a Corsair VX450 and I dont do any overclocking.

I've checked the online power supply calculators but im getting a big range of answers. Intel calculator says 550w and extreme power supply tells me 334w.

Been using the computer for about an hour. No problems so far.

Any input?

Thanks in advance guys

Mitch

Hey, atleast go for a 550w or 650w psu.

AMD recomends a MINIMUM of 500w for that video card.

if you want to sli in future, gtx 650 or 750w psu's.

Thanks,

Thanks for the info, guys. I won't even be doing any gaming on this computer. I just didnt want to have the 5850 laying around =)

So I believe Im ok with the VX450.

Anyone else with a different opinion?
