I'm interested in acquiring some feed back on this build. The intention for this build is as the title says, with a little extra. It should be fast and reliable, as well as long lasting and durable (5+ years). It might be nice to have room to grow with new software and technologies. This is why the buyer would like something a bit more high-end.

Approximate Purchase Date: Probably sometime in June of this year

Budget Range: Max budget of around 1500 USD, but less is always preferred

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: Those with the best deals

Country: United States of America

Parts Preferences: Intel CPU; nVIDA GPU; ASUS mobo

Overclocking: No

SLI or Crossfire: Maybe, but not for awhile

Monitor Resolution: 1920x1080 or 1920x1200

Notes:
~ High quality has priority over performance.
~ Long life components preferred.

Why wouldn't you go with the 3570k? Being unlocked, you could overclock it in a few years to keep up with technology, when it might be time to get rid of the 3550.

I don't know why you would say SLI maybe, but overclocking NO.

SSD only? When I was researching SSDs I read that if you remove data often (temp files, uninstalls) that it wears down the SSD. That's why I decided to get a 120/128gb and a HDD.

What exactly is this computer for? General is too general, lol.
