[New build] Everything PC :P

hello everyone
last time i posted on this forum, people were very helpfull and i was told to wait till the new intel proccessors come out. so i waited and now that they are out i can't wait to build a new pc :P.
My budget: 500-2000$.(canadian)

im looking for advice on the components and if they are going to work well with each other, if not then please suggest an alternative.
Also anything that you find that doesn't make sense at all with this built, or there are better hardware, or better prices else where on the net, please dont hesitate to comment and suggest what ever you feel would be best.
The purpose of this build: EVERYTHING! from Casual gaming, watching HD movies, programming, photoshop. everyone in the family will most likely be using this so i wanted it to work well for everyone.also i wanted to build something that will last me at least 5 years without having to worry about upgrading it, what are your thoughts? :)

once again please comment/suggest what ever you feel like as long as there is a link i can open up and take a look :P

  2. 16GB of RAM is overkill. Unless you are video editing get 8GB.

    ok thanks ill change to 8GB, any thoughts on the systems as a whole? any parts bottle necking anything? any suggestions for a PSU? i have no clue about em...:(
  4. look for a 650ish seasonic corsair antec xfx branded PSU 80+ rated is even better.

    Trim some of the fat off that build and step up to a 7870. Case, RAM, and motherboard.
