There seems to be a solution but I recommend you read this carefully, maybe PRINT it off:

I don't believe the PCIe x1 slot can be used for a PRIMARY graphics card. The BIOS only usually detects the x8/x16 slots designated as graphics slots.

I only found ONE CARD that fits a x1 slot (link below). If it's an improvement over what you have, then maybe it's worth the money. I doubt I'd recommend this solution though.

*If your motherboard has no x8/x16 slot designated for a graphics card then your primary graphics will come from the motherboard graphics chip.

POSSIBLE SOLUTION:
It might be possible to do this:
1) Buy and install (physically, then the DRIVERS) this x1 card: http://www.ncix.com/products/?sku=60666&vpn=AE5450%2051...
2) Boot to Windows with the monitor hooked up to the motherboard as normal
3) change monitors in the CCC (Catalyst Control Panel) then physically hook up the monitor to the add-on card. However, I don't know if both outputs need to be physically connected to a monitor (or both on the same monitor) for this to work. You may need to TEMPORARILY borrow a second monitor so you can switch from the onboard to addon card.

*If you only have one monitor, if possible hook up BOTH cards to the same monitor if it has multiple inputs, but you SHOULD be able to get this working.

**I don't think you'll see the BIOS unless hooked up to the primary graphics card (onboard).
