Graphics card compatibility with Asus M2V motherboard

ive just upgraded from xp to windows 7 64 and now none of my games are running and i keep getting blue screen of death my system specs are

amd 64 x 2 3800 cpu
m2v motherboard
2gb ram
nvidia 9600 gs
450w psu

i had no problems running driver4,alanwake2,saintsrow3 on xp but now all i get is srat screen then pc freezes then 1 min later blue screen of death
any help would be grate as im starting to pull my hair out lol

Have you updated direct x ? When you say you upgraded from XP to Windows 7 , did you do a fresh cean install or an upgrade? You have to do a fresh install because there is no upgrade from XP to Win 7 so with a new install you do have to make sure that the drivers are copletely installed for the video card and that includes direct x.
