Hi, I'm building another friend a PC but don't know which power supply to get - especially which wattage!

Specs:
i7-920
3x2GB Kingston ram (looks very much like value ram)
1x1tb generic HDD
Vtx HD 6950 1GB

Help would be appreciated!

I had to guess a little on some things such as type/speed of RAM and HDD RPM, but from what I've just found is a wattage of 435. I also added a bit of lenience there with 2 USB devices and 2 PCI-E devices in case you ever wanted to add any thing.

So you either want to go for 450Watts or 500Watts, with a PSU it's always best to go for a little more than needed because then at least everything will be powered fine and theres always a space for upgrades in the future. And of course PSU's usually deliver slightly under their max load.
You also need 2 PCI-E power slots for the GPU.

500 Watts would need a quality PSU, I'd advise getting a 600Watt PSU for those components.

Here's a 550Watt PSU by Seasonic...

Here's a 550Watt PSU by Seasonic: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817207013&nm_mc=AFC-C8Junction&cm_mmc=AFC-C8Junction-_-na-_-na-_-na&AID=10446076&PID=3899435&SID=skim1402X558040X214f2937997236afdee4d8e79c422aa7

And here's a 600Watt PSU by Corsair: http://www.corsair.com/power-supply-units/cx-series-psu/builder-series-cx600-v2-80plus-certified-power-supply.html

Either of which would work with that build and GPU, depends on the budgets and how much lenience you'd like to have, though the prices aren't too different.
