i currently have one and the stock psu is dying out (i know, i should've changed it when i first got it). i'm looking for a cheap (trying less than 50 bucks) but decent psu to run my rig. i have a pioneer dvd burner so the optical drives sticks out quite a lot. any recommendations?
i'm thinking either:

or

though i don't know the size of the psu, it might interfere with the burner.

When I was fighting with mine, I had a Lite-on 411 DVD burner, and shoe-horned a Enermax Liberty 420W PSU in place. All I can say is thank goodness for modular power supplies, and the short Lite-on drives.

The Enermax Liberty 420W PSU is a full-size ATX power supply, but the Lite-on 411S drive is a "short" DVD drive. It's dimensions are 145 ( W ) x 41.3 ( H ) x 170 ( D ) mm. My current Pioneer drive is a more standard size, and it's dimensions are (W x H x D) (Including height of Front Bezel) 148 x 42.3 x 180 mm, so about .5" longer. The current NEC 3550 drives are 190mm long, so almost an inch longer than my old Lite-on. I would be very surprised if you could get the new PSU in with either of the two drives, because it was very snug even with the shorter one.

You should be able to get the dimensions of the new PSU, and see where it's going to come out to in your case. Just a matter of measuring... Eliminates most guesswork, and it's not rocket science.
