So I have the Z68 Extreme3 Gen3 motherboard and it says in the manual, "Combo Cooler Option (C.C.O.)" and I'm trying to figure out if my current heat sink will be compatible with it. The thing is..... I'm not quite sure which Zalman model it is.

I think it is this one: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835118223 because it says something about if you have bought it before socket 1155 came out (which I did) you would have to buy a separate mounting kit.

So is all of this true? Would it work with my soon-to-be i5 2500k and Z68? Would I have to buy the separate mounting kit? If so where would I find it?

Solution
You could purchase the mount directly from Zalman most likely, that's how it works with most manufacturers. Since it is listed that it works with 1155, I'm sure it will.
Customers that purchased coolers before the inclusion of support for socket 1155/1156, can purchase the separately sold ZM-CS5A or ZM-CS5B mounting kit for installation onto socket 1155/1156. The mounting kit ZM-CS4A can be purchased separately for installation onto socket 1366.
