Two days earlier AMD updated A-Series, FX-Series and Phenom II pricing pages, lowering prices on full range of "Llano" APUs, and high performance K10 and "Bulldozer" CPUs.The pages shows effective date August 27. which means that the price drops will happen tomorrow.

Hi, I have been shopping CPU's for days. The only Phenoms I could find are x4 965's and x6 1045's-all the good stuff seems to be gone.

Tigerdirect had a x4 955 listed for 74.99 and by the time I shopped a motherboard (15-20 minutes) the price had gone up to 99.00!

When I called, they basically told me to pound sand.

the price drop(assuming its real) is to serve a few purposes,

1. get rid of all the phenoms in stock(hence large cuts)
2. Make room for trinity
3. Make room for Piledriver

They would if they are still sitting on unsold stock and want to get rid of it instead of wasting warehouse space and devaluation on them.

I dont think you get it, they are in higher demand than the bulldogs. People are paying more for them now then before BD came out. AMD would be idiotic to sell them even cheaper now and they are far from stupid.

Amd stopped production of these and any stock left is not in their warehouse. Maybe a distributor but I beleive its mostly what stores have left in stock is all thats left.
