Upgrade antenna on dual antenna ap

I have one AP with dual antennas and I want to upgrade one of the antenna to 7Dbi to increase the range. will it work

No, the antenna's will not give youre wireless an extra boost. The antenna is only responsible for the direction not for the power behind that. You could try the alluminium antenna fix called windsurfer. Just check youtube for that.
