PC to TV no signal for a sec and comes back?

I have my desktop Asus connected to my 32 in. tv through a HDMI cable. it works fine for a few minutes then flickers to black and says no signal then flickers back to normal. when I am playing a game on my PC it does this a lot more often. [like every few minutes] how do i fix this?
