GTX 560 Ti SLI Vs GTX 570

OK here is the questions. I currently have a GTX 560 Ti, i want to upgrade to the GTX 570. After looking around i am thinking that maybe 2x GTX 560 Ti will be a better option then a GTX 570. If i get the 570 i can add another within about 2 months from that. I mostly play BF3 and want to achieve ultra settings. So if you had the choice would you just get another 560 ti or get a 570 and SLI later on.

The difference wouldnt be worth the money you would spend grab a 560 and overclock them both. If anything your best bet would be to grab a 580. Its pretty much the same power as 2 560oc's and will run bf3 with everything maxed at 60fps aslong as your not trying to play on some crazy resolution. i get 60fps at 1080 with my 580. Then your all set for a while.

You sure about that? Show some links to your proof. I doubt two 560 Ti's can beat my one 580 honestly, maybe 3 but not two. Just my opinion.

I stand corrected i don't know much about sli scaling, but i still don't think two 560 Ti's can beat my one 580. I mean in BF3 possibly, but overall i doubt it.

The only things that beat SLI 560ti is the 590 and 6990 the 560ti SLI are right under the GTX 590 tied with the 7970 then 7950 then your GTX 580

Any links to these numbers? I can see that one pulls about 128/152 bandwidth wise.. Two idk exactly what performance you would get. Be honest not every game likes Sli. Thus far only few games give you such a jump in scale ability.

Long is right, pretty much every review and benchmark shows that two 560ti's will outperform a 580 by some margin.

I was running two 560's, but sold them to get a 580 which i will soon also be putting into SLI. it was most certainly a step down when i got the 580, but its still a very powerful GPU of course.

Ok BUT if i get a second 560 that will be the end of the line. BUT if i get the 570 i can SLI and have a opton for 3 way sli in the future. You dont think a a 570 now and another two months from now wont be better?

Honestly, i have been using the GTX 560 ti. running the game on high (Currently Medium because nvidia 295.73 is crappy for SLI) i had to take my card out and run the game on medium for stable frames. I will be getting NVIDIA Kepler Architecture in 2 weeks

Um 2x 560ti in SLI kill a single GTX 580 and even 2x GTX 560 sans ti are faster than a GTX 580 by a solid margin.

2 560's perform better than a 580, but in no way "kills the 580". There pretty much on par with performance. Some games work great with SLI where the 560's shine and some dont. A 580 will rip though any game so its a great option for a one card solution which is why i recommended it. Plus it give thes OP alot more time before he would need to SLI.

When i bought my 580 i was trying to decide between 2 560's or 1 580. Over all im happy i went with the single card. The 580 will still max out any game right now, and atleast you now have an option to grab another for SLI. With 2 580's in sli it will last you a hell of alot longer than 2 560's will. Thats the way i look at it.

frank of course it will be better but its a waist of money for the performance gain you will get. 1 560=$250, 2 570's=$680, 1 580=$480. You would save $430 by picking up another 560 or save $200 by grabbing a 580. Really no need for anything else besides a 580 is your looking for performance. It will max any game. Just save the $200 and when the new cards come out the 580 will drop in price and you could probably snatch another 580 for $350 if you want. Im just looking at it money/future wise.

I know, i completely agree with you on the 560's being more powerful. Its the best bet for the OP, to grab another. Im just saying the 580 is a great alternative if hes looking for a powerful single card he could sli in the future. Better than waisting money on 2 570's any day for performance he probably doesnt need, unless he trying to run some crazy setup with 3 monitors on a really high resolution.
