Trouble shoot the sound output problem

i have a new pc. After installation of all the parts, it is found that there is no output from audio jock. I checked all the options in the sound properties but nothing from operating system.Now i am unable to solve this problem.kindly,help me.

have you installed the audio drivers?
check in device manager

I see you mentioned " no output from audio jock" , can you double check if its the right jock or port ? After that as @flank21 said , check whether you have already installed audio drivers on device manager. The thing is that if your OS is Windows 8, it automatically detects sound.
Also, while in the sound propertied, can you pluck and insert the audio jock or jack and see the difference (changes).
