Gaming Rig - Last second suggestions?

PC mainly used for gaming, nothing else major besides the normal web browsing. Gonna be reusing HDD's and Case. Having trouble deciding if I should get the i5 2500k or just go cheaper and get an i3 2120. Also wondering if the Asrock mobo would be any much greater over the Gigabyte.

current gaming resolution is 1680x1050 but planning on upgrading monitor down the road for 1920x1080

if you have the money, definitely get the i5. more and more games are utilizing more than 2 cores and it can overclock easily so it will last much longer.
