Approximate Purchase Date: Next 30 days

Budget Range: 2K-2.5K
System Usage from Most to Least Important: gaming/photo processing, movie watching, internet browsing

Parts Not Required: ( keyboard, mouse, monitor, speakers, DVD burner)

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: Amazon

Country: USA/Alaska

Parts Preferences: by brand or type:
Case: CM Storm Trooper http://www.amazon.com/Cooler-Master-Trooper-Computer-SG...

Power Supply: Corsair AX750 http://www.amazon.com/Corsair-Professional-750-Watt-Cer...

Mobo Asus P8Z77-V Delux http://www.amazon.com/Deluxe-Intel-Motherboard-P8Z77-V-...

CPU Intel i7 3770S http://www.amazon.com/Intel-Core-3770S-processor-BX8063...

Memory Corsair 16GM (4) 4GB http://www.amazon.com/Corsair-Vengeance-Channel-Memory-...

SSD Crucial M4 C400 256GB http://www.amazon.com/Crucial-2-5-Inch-Solid-State-CT25...

Hard Drive Seagate ST200DM00 2TB 7200 http://www.amazon.com/Seagate-ST2000DM001-Barracuda-3-5...

Graphics Card Asus HD7850 2GB http://www.amazon.com/HD7850-DC2-2GD5-DisplayPort-Utili...
Overclocking: Maybe

SLI or Crossfire: Maybe

Monitor Resolution: Dual Monitor 1920x1080

Additional Comments:
I know the power supply is overkill for now but am considering future expansion. Is it better to buy that ability now or upgrade it a few years from now? Also looking at more effecient Platinum level supplies.

Also choose the i3770s because the reduced power is more appealing than the horsepower/overclocking abilities of the K. Do I need any more cooling hardware than the normal fans for this configuration?

Any comments suggestions on component selection/pricing/rebates etc would be appreciated as this is my first build. I am not locked to Amazon but the free shipping to my remote area of Alaska is attractive.

Thank you in advance for your help.

I'm from Big Lake but I live in Dillingham, AK.

That build could use some serious help. Give me a few minutes and I'l post a build on here for cheaper although the gpu is going to have to come from newegg, and I know newegg ships out here to Dillingham so chances are they will ship to wherever you are atm.

So here's the deal. First off forget about the 3770S. The "S" stands for "sucky". You can't over clock with it, and as far as low energy goes ...lol...you might be lucky to buy a candy bar in bush alaska after two years with the energy savings from that cpu. Give this 3770K a week for two to get back on amazon.

Also for your budget you put a crap load of money into the motherboard and psu and really shorted yourself big time on the video card end of it. That gtx 670 down below was just released today. One look at the benchmarks in that link down below explains it all. Also notice how I linked 2x8GB of RAM. You don't want to fill all your RAM slots up right away leaving you zero upgrade path not to mention that Corsair you have linked with those cake cutter heat spreaders is good for using as a hair comb but nothing else. Those tall heat spreaders are all show (gimmick) that kills people when they try to add a decent sized after market cpu heat sink. You want low profile RAM so you can work with it.

Why My:
The reason I was considering the S processor was I have no present desire to overclock and the power savings. All our power is self generated renewable energy so it is more a matter of saving the power to run more during the dark months. That was also a consideration in the graphics card choice. My question is if I combine the k and new graphics card how much more power will be used with the addition of coolers, fans etc. My hope was by using the s and more energy efficient graphics card I could eliminate the cpu cooler. I will try to net out what the difference in watts is between the two.
The 8GB memory makes sense. Thanks again for your input.
