Hello everyone,
First time posting here becauce i haven't found the answer i am looking so far, so here it comes.
i'm a gamer First Person Shooter type, I'm looking to get more ''FPS - Frames per second'' i would like to avoid changing the mobo, graphic card and processor all together. what would be the best improvement to get that better gaming experience?here's what i am running

ASUS P5KPL-AM SE mobo (is this mobo to old/bad?)
INTEL dual core e7500 @ 2.93ghz
NVIDIA GeForce GTS250
KINGSTON DDR2 4Gb(2x2GB)800mhz
i've been looking around on reviews and thing and have conclude that the ''AMD Phenom II X4 965'' would be in my range but i'm really not sure if my mobo would take it.Also wondering if that cpu is ''too good'' for my mobo and would be a waste... like a Ferrari engine in a cheap honda...
i really just don't know what should be my major concerns to upgrade the most drastically my computer.

would appreciate some help, thanks.

p.s. English isn't my first language. :S

okay i just got told that my mobo is total garbage... and one solution would be to get any good p5k/p5b delux from asus and buy a good cooler to overclock it. anyone would confirm this ? how of a work is this project? is it better to just build a new computer...

yes ,better build a new gaming beast with i5 2500k , gtx 570 or amd 7870,a 60 gb ssd for ur OS and 4 or 6 gb of 1600mhz ram and a good PSU with at least 650W.
Better u buy asus brand products.

i've been searching around and this is what i come up to i don't know which one would fit the best with the i5

-ASUS P8P67
-ASUS P8Z77-V
-ASUS p8h67-M pro
-ASRock MB-P67E4G3

-i5 2500 (the only part that im almost sure at 100% to buy)

-4 x 4GB DDR3 1333 or 1600 depending on mobo

-Coolermaster rs-500-pcar-a3 500 watt (this is a psu that i already own would be cool if i could use it on this setup)
-GeForce GTS250 (same, planning on changing it tho.)
-Silverstone kL02 case.
