can you tell me if there is a microcenter within driving distance for you
http://www.microcenter.com/at_the_stores/index.html

go there and check

if there is one then you can get a i5 3570k for pretty cheap

here is my build if you go with the microcenter

SSD/mobo:GIGABYTE GA-Z77X-UD5H and Crucial M4 CT128M4SSD2CCA 2.5" 128GB - $288.98
this is a great mobo you won't see a difference in performance compared to this mobo and your mobo. if you really need fan xpert you can go for a cheaper board than asus pro

GPU:same

Ram:same

Heatsink: can change for something better but hyper 212 evo is fairly good
HDD:Western Digital Caviar Black 1 TB SATA III 7200 RPM 64 MB - $119.95
i would go 500GB but western digital is having a great sale for the speed of these where 500GB would be about $10 less than a 1TB at the same speed

PSU:SeaSonic M12II 620 Bronze 620W - $89.99
this will do if you are just going to do 1 card if you want to go 2 cards i suggest going 2 only if you have multi monitors or a super high res monitor(higher than 1080p)

Case:I really love Corsair cases but I'm not really fond of the Obsidian Series as there isn't a flashy cool looking case. for me 650D and 800D just look like normal but not normal. all of the ups about it will all be there the only down is just the looks

if you want looks and performance i would say 500R you also have the choice of going 600T(both white of course) but 500R is less expensive and can cool better than the 600T. the only thing that differs is the side panel and the see though mesh

Corsair 500R white - $128.99

forgot about dvd burner and OS

OS is $100 for win 7 home prem

dvd burner just choose any under $20 maybe made by asus or a good brand name unless you want blu ray
