I just purchased a asus radeon hd 6950 direct cuii, and I also came across a 6770 that I could get at a decent price. My question is, could I run these in crossfire? And if I could, would it really be worth it? Oh here's my comp specs

asus rampage III formula
intel i7 950
6gb mushkin ram
750w psu
asus radeon hd 6950 cuii
128gb crucial ssd

Thanks in advanced!

The answer is no and no. The first two numbers in the product description must match, in this case 69xx. And even if it was possible the performance would scale down to the weakest card so it would be like you were CFing 6770s.

No, you cannot crossfire them to cards.

If I was you, I would buy another 6950 and crossfire them, because the numbers need to match up.
