I'm looking for a good graphics card in the range of 140-190$ canadian. It has to be SLI ready as i would like to run an SLI setup a few months down the road. Also would prefer dual DVI. Not necessary, however it would be a bonus.

some of the graphics cards i'm considering are

Galaxy GeForce GTX 550 Ti GC Edition (can anyone tell me what GC means?)

EVGA GeForce GTX 550 Ti SuperClocked
Link: http://www.tigerdirect.ca/applications/SearchTools/item...

ASUS GeForce GTX 560 DCU (what does DCU mean aswell?)
Link: http://www.tigerdirect.ca/applications/SearchTools/item...

anyways, thoughts/opinions? if you have a recommendation for me, please don't hesitate to link it :)  this is going to be my first build ever so i'm not sure what's good and what isn't.

What Res is your monitor? I would suggest not going below the 560 TI but it is just out of your budget. I found a 189 with rebait ...

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

This is US Dollars but I looked up the conversion and our dollars are almost the same or 1 to .99..

I would really recommend you wait the 3 weeks or so till the 600 series is out as the 650 will be the same as the 560 but much cheaper and also the 500 series prices should go down a bit... Your call.

and thanks for the link, i'll look into it. and yeah i might wait it out too.

As you can see, I have the 550. I believe that buying this card was a mistake. I am waiting for Kepler and saving my money for a new one.

As an earlier post said. Don't go below the 560.

This is assuming that you are needing your maching for gaming and such..

wait till kepler...if you can't wait get 6850 or 6870.
stay away from 550Ti or 560...560Ti is great at US$189.99
but wait man you won't regret it.
