Hello World (first post on forum :p)

I am planning to build a budget gaming rig. I have no knowledge of computer building whatsoever except a meager amount of research for selecting parts. So here's the build I am planning to make and please tell me if this is best or I should go higher/lower/somewhere different in choosing parts. In Flipkart prices, I included shipping, though I did not in Newegg. So please help me! Thanks!

Approximate Purchase Date: This week (the closer the better)

Budget Range: $1000 to $1600

System Usage from Most to Least Important: Gaming, Watching movies

Parts Not Required: none

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: I'll be using Flipkart. It is similiar to Newegg -- for India.

Country: India

Parts Preferences: Intel

Overclocking: Maybe

SLI or Crossfire: Yes

Monitor Resolution: Full HD

Additional Comments: First Build

Therefore,
Cost (Flipkart)
= Rs. 83215 = $1553

Cost (Newegg) (Without Shipping)
= $1429 + ~$100 for shipping (hypothetically)= $1539 = Rs. 82,421

Should I go for it?

wrt to India buy from the hardware market itself. U will get a better deal there. Most of the companies have reseller in major cities. Flipkart is a thief. U can find prices from this site . http://www.npithub.com/ (market price is lower then displayed ones).

Compare ur processor price. It is about 10,650 in general market

even ur graphic card is cheaper then flipkart by Rs 1000

here is another good site to compare latest prices
http://ratetorate.in/

the above mentioned sites r for price comparision not for final purchase. Moreover they have phone numbers displayed where u can call to get current price. In open market prices r bit lower.

Dont purchase from those sites. Those r for price comparison. And for service w.r.t these products, its just warranty which will be given by manufactures not flipkart.

In the first site there r many vendors with phone numbers displayed. Usually i call a few of them to get some average current price and afterward go to anyone of those and setup another bargain round to get better price. If u r lucky then u can another round of discount from 500 to 1000 for costly parts like graphic card MoBoard etc. The best thing is to get the address and phone no of the reseller from product site itself and buy from there.

hey why dont u get a gtx 690 instead and compromise on motherboard like get a gigabyte z77x ud3h its $160 on newegg . u can get a local mouse, keyboard, gamepad and case . there is no difference in the stock keyboard and mouse and a gaming keyboard and mouse just they have is a good look and design enough for a high end gaming player and also a gtx 690 is =3x590s. Also the gamepad can be puchased after. Friend u do this the pc will be a high end gaming rig. The mouse and keyboard can be upgraded later but the time u must be getting now will not be there for u after that maybe. So its ur wish for which one u wanna go.
