I heard the 4100 is not as good as other quad cores because it has 2 modules not 4 real cores, Is the AMD A6-3670K a true quad core?

the FX cores shares some resources within each module so it is truly not a self sufficient core.
though if you are thinking of choosing between the two, i would suggest the FX which uses the AM3+ socket since the FM1 socket of the Llano has a very limited upgrade path.

Oh... So would a older phenom X4 be a better choice than those two processors?

If you go AMD, skip the FX 4XXX and FX 6XXX, FX 81XX are by and large on par with i5's so they are the only recommended FX chips. Phenom II x 4/6 or FX 81XX.
