Hi guys,

I am trying to connect my monitor witht he HDMI cable instead of the blue cable(VDA??)
My problem is that when I do this it cuts off the edge of the screen on all edges.
My graphics card is an asus gtx560ti and my monitor is a viewsonic 24 inch 1920 1080 res.

Things i have tried that didnt work:

*Installing new drivers for graphics card and monitor.

*Going into the personalise tab on right click desktop and setting resolution to max.

*doing screen adjust on monitor (auto adjust is blanked out and wont let me access and manual adjust is also blanked out.)

I am currently just running it with the blue cable plugged in and it works fine but I have been told that hdmi is better. If anyone knows of a solution to this problem it would be much apreciated.Sorry about the poor terminology/grammar/presentation ect. I am new to computer building and I am a pretty average writer :p

Thanks a heap for your time!

What video manufacturer is it? I have the same issue with my nvidia 9800GTX+, but you can adjust the desktop size in the Nvidia driver, by enabling desktop resizing in screen resolution, and then selecting manual.
If you have any post Nvidia processing on Video you will get ghosting problems by doing this though, but I do not use Nvidia 3D Vision, which presumably takes care of that too.

The only difference the HDMI cable would make is if you had built in speakers in the Monitor and were using them.
The HDMI cable would then carry video as well as audio. Otherwise, stick to the DVA port.
