Acer 6935g no sound form the sub-woofer

Hello, I have an Aspire 6935g. All the latest drivers installed. When I do a test in Acer HD audio manager I get no sound coming form the sub-woofer. its the same when I watch or in this case listen to a movie or cd

is the subwoof slider down or off in playback settings? Many people turned it down to get rid of the awful sounds it makes.

I don't think so as I never experenced the awful sounds metioned in other posts. I assume you mean the playback settings in Acer HD Audio manager. I can't find any slider there

Is there any other buttons or anything on the bottom of something that could control the sub. maybe you can hear it but it isn't noticable, have you tried putting your ear near the sub?

Look in your manual for some clues about the sub.

I have done all that except forthe manual all the other speakers are working.
