Turn computer screen off when hdmi cable info

It is possible to turn off the computer screen when using it as a media player through HDMI to the television?

Thats what I do.

But, I have both my monitor and television hooked up to the back of my PC on the graphics card external ports.

Then i right click on my desktop and click screen resolution.
Then where it says multiple displays, click show desktop only on 1. Yours could be 2.

Depend, but just try it.


You will need to be running windows 7 for this function.

Also, it automatically switches of the signal going to your monitor, and sends it to your television.
