for gpu get hd 6870 because of you configaration its an good card it can handle games at 1080p resolution very well and for rest of the money get an xfx 550w psu because that psu wouldnot support hd 6870 or hd 6950.

for gpu get this with better cooling.:)

Rather then us tell you all the cool parts, you need to tell us what is available to you. It does us no good to say X + Y = great if you can't get them at your local shop or order them.

the hd 6950 will perform better in many cases then the hd 6870 but for your setup the best to get will be an hd 6870 its really damn good plays all mordern games at high settings with 1080p resolution just the difference is that the price and performance of the hd 6950 is increased from hd 6870 and the hd 6870 is the better performer then hd 6950 in price/performance ratio so fo you the best choice will be an hd 6870 and a psu that i gave to handle hd 6870.:)

As long as the card model is there same, there is pretty much no difference. I prefer XFX because of their awesome customer support and lifetime warrantys, and they have replaced 1 video card and fixed another for me. But most venders offer nearly the same support.

I would highly suggest a 6870 as well, it is a strong card for the price and scales very well in crossfire. If you decide later on that you want to upgrade, you can always then grab a 2nd card.

Also I would suggest another 2 gigs of ram for your set up.

I would like your opinion considering the future, I would like to buy a card that will last at least 3-4 years.

The prices of XFX are same for 6870 & 6950......

Considering your budget is 15000, get the 6870. You'll need a new PSU as well so use the remaining 3000 and get the PSU. Hopefully you can get a good one. If not, drop down to the 6850.

Yeah being on a budget the 6850 can save you $30 over a 6870. Also, it will run most new games on at least high detail. Not sure what you mean by SMC.

If you want a PSU that you wont have to upgrade later if you get a second 6850, this should be able to run two of them:

Single 12v rail and Modular is good.

SMC is a popular shop in Delhi for Computer hardware, should i look for 560ti as an alternate unit & in order to OC both CPU & GPU what rating PSU should i buy as of now i was planning on a Seasonic 520W S12II-520 W/80+ Bronze will that be sufficient

the launch date of gtc 680 will be after some months.:)

buy an hd 6870 this one with better cooling in low price dont think for hd 6950 bottlenecking may cause by your non overclocked cpu and if u buy an hd 6950 so you have to change your psu also to 550w with 2xpcie connector so what i m saying is that dont go anywhere just get an hd 6870 with that psu that i have given there in the link really it will be a good buy seriously.:)

for graphic card buy this with good cooling and overall performance.

http://www.flipkart.com/his-amd-ati-radeon-hd-6870-gpu-...

for psu get this with powerful built and easy rail tech if i was in your place i will get this psu really.:)

http://www.theitdepot.com/details-XFX+Core+Edition+550W...(P1-550S-XXB9)_C14P10577.html

so all is solve get them both under your budget you will be happy with that buy.:)

Please clear one thing - If I am unable to OC the CPU & purchase 6950 I will only be wasting my money as i wont be getting the optimum output right or is there some other dimension to it ? As of now the CPU temp is 72C & its has been only half an hour since I started surfing I will have to purchase a cooler as well, please suggest the cheapest that will be sufficient as it will be over budget ?
