The cd key can be used as many tines as you want in single player. Online
only one of the computers using the key can be running at a time. There is a
free battlefield 1942 key changer at www.majorgeeks.com in the game section
if you need to have two players play online with the same copy of the game.

Tut, tut. A keygen? What happens when that keygen generates a code
that also happens to be somebody else's (legitimate and paid for) CD
key? The poor ah heck can't play online! Do yourself and everyone else
favour if you want to run two copies online, buy another copy of the
game.

OK, I appreciate that you didn't at any point say you *had* used this
method yourself, but the point is some poor soul might have their CD key
hijacked, its not fair.

The KeyChanger is not a CD maker.
All it will do is replacing the CDKey currently used.

Am I right in thinking, you can have the key from Road to Rome on one
computer and the key to the original BF 1942 on the other?

This is how I have mine and my daughter's set up - we haven't played online
yet, just LAN games - me with the 1942 CD and her with the R2R.

Will this work online?

Most keygens are not really generators of any sort, but just cycle
through a fixed list of known pirate cd keys or ones compiled by the
author. You'll notice a pattern after a while.

Other ones generate keys that cannot validate online. It's good enough
for the install, but a authentication server will reject it.

The probability that a keygen will generate not only a valid online cd
key, but also a key not in use by another person is astronomical. If it
were true that a keygen could easily generate a valid key, then we would
see a tremendously greater precedence of complaints about "key in use"
messages or widespread lockout of thousands of players (given the total
BF series population and the ability to generate large numbers of keys).

In short, yes. You have two keys (BF and RTR) and two computers. The
computers will use their alternate key (either one) if the other key is
being used to play online.

If you have another child and Buy Secret Weapons, you'll still be good!

Is that why Far Cry has so many problems with Invalid CD Keys when you go
online, my Key for Far Cry was hijacked, first time I tried to go online it
said my CD Key was in use, so I had to request a new one, but you have said
the right word there, PIRATE!! if you want the game, buy it, if you lose the
key, contact EA, dont use stupid sad keygens that stuff games up for
everyone else!

While I agree with you that the chances of generating a valid key are
tiny, the fact remains that it is possible, and I know of quite a few
people who have been unable to play because of their CD key being
hijacked. Whether those cases are due to a keygen is unknown, but it
does happen and not as rare as you make out.

No. It's not.
You will have to provide the alternates keys.
Either these keys are genuine or cracked ones is another issue.

And what happens when the CDKey made, is already in use by another GENUINE
owner!
