4 wireless/wired routers on farm DHCP

We have an Ericson W35 that brings in the internet. It is a wireless 3G modem and also a wireless router.

We have that signal going through ethernet cables to 2 other routers (dlink dir-655) with the DHCP turned off so the W35 can serve the IPs to all the computers. This part is working good.

The part I need help with it this:
From 1 of the dlinks above we have an ethernet cable running to another dlink and we can't get it to work. If we turn on the DHCP on that unit off or we can still not connect to internet.

All the wireless SSIDS are the same and the have same password. They are spread out quite a ways over the farm in the different buildings.

Thanks for your help.

Both devices have the ethernet to 1 of the 4 LAN ports not the single WAN port.

did you disable DHCP and assign it a unique LAN IP?

I disabled DHCP and each router is given its own 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.1.2 etc and then the modem/router erricson w35 is set to asign ips between 192.168.1.10 and 100. So ip range .1 - .9 are for my routers and other ips for wireless clients.

Is there any other settings that might need to be changed on the last router in the chain? The one that is connected to the modem only by going through another router?

There are 5 dlinks . . what should the uPnP setting be for each?

modem is connected to dlink A then cabled a distance to dlink B

dlink B cabled a distance to dlink C and another cable from dlink B to dlink D

lastly dlink D cabled a distance to dlink E

Thanks
