I had a spill on my laptop... I went through on cleaning it as much as possible. I reboot after letting it sit for an hour and Windows doesn't recognize my hard drive for me to recover it. Open laptop into an "A" position , then stand it in a warm place like an airing cupboard for 48 HOURS MINIMUM.... Then try it again...
