Video card: I just changed my video card from a 6450 to a 6670(Just less than an hour ago).

My 6450 had multiple occasions where it just freezes, a game would just start flickering, sprites fly everywhere, and nothing looks nice. On top of that, i get the error message: amdkmdap driver has failed, but has recovered successfully. I've had a couple of BSOD.

Now, I was completely fed up and just decided to buy a new one. I now have the 6670, and after readng reviews it seemed alright for all my needs. After 15 minutes, everything freezes, and on top of that it never recovers. I have no idea what to do, it's been over half a year now of this constant mess up.

That is a good question to ask. What is the brand and model of the PSU you use? Are all of your drivers up to date? Also are you checking your temps? Yes your new card should not do that.

But sometimes we get a bad card. When you first installed your new card, did you run a driver sweeper and get rig of all the old drivers so you can run the new drivers? Do you have any friends you can test your card on there rig?

Also test your PSU? So we are looking at three possible problems, PSU, GPU, and temps. If you don't have anything to test your temps I will link you to MSI Afterburner plus the manual on how to use it.

Please repost all anwsers then we can go from there.
