Detroit has a lot more pressing matters, at least in my opinion. It's amazing how the population has fallen from 1.8 million in 1950 to just 713K today. That's more than half of the population that just upped and left. Of course, the decline of the auto industry plays a big part in this, but still, it's a staggering statistic.
Yes Reynod, you are partially correct. The unions also screwed things up by negotiating $20/hour, heathcare, full pension for screwing in a taillight 8 hours a day. Then, then X company screwed up by agreeing to such outrageous terms in the first place!
