I won't have any trouble using intel setups for the new hd7870, right?
i was originally gonna get gtx570, but it seems hd7870 is better by few blocks, so intend on getting 7870.

At the moment, I would go for the 7870.But, if you want to wait a bit, then I would wait for the new kepler cards from nvidia.
there will be no issues with you having an intel processor with any brand of video card.
What model is your motherboard & power supply ?
i already bought asrock z68 extreme3.
i can fit ivy bridge and get kepler but what i've been thinking is let the 1st wave of keplers go, and i'll get the 2nd wave of keplers or max, which comes next.
i'm planning on getting 550~620watt psu. 80+ probably
