Intel Pentium B960 windows 8

Will the intel B960 be able to run Windows 8? I have a Toshiba C655-S5514 with the Intel B960 CPU and have seen mention that Windows 8 will need to have the no execute bit enabled to install 32 or 64 bit?

If you are talking about Execute Disable Bit? Yes the Intel® Pentium® B960 does have that feature. http://ark.intel.com/products/59836/Intel-Pentium-Processor-B960--(2M-Cache-2_20-GHz)

I can install Win8 on my P4 machine, you can install it on your comp with no problems.

OK so I tried to install both the 32 bit and 64 bit release of Windows 8 using VirtualBox on this laptop with the B960 and continued to receive either the cpu is not compatible with 64 bit OS or on the 32 bit I got the 0x0000005D. I understand the error on the 32 bit was trying to tell me it did not support the execute disable bit, which was enabled in the BIOS? Set to disable and it would just crash the whole system. Which by the way it is running Windows 7 Home Premium 64. Any Ideas what to try next? Scared to mess with the partition and actually install on the laptop.

Lots of people are having that problem, i would just forget it.
