Hello guys. I need to ask you some questions about theese CPU-s.
First of all, sorry for my bad English.

I currently have Phenom II X4 920 and i was thinking about selling it and buy q6600. Why? Because AMD stock cooler is pretty loud, temperatures are high, i can earn some money with this trading because i currently have LGA775 motherboard that is in good condition. I thinked about keeping the Phenom, but then i need to invest for new aftermarket cooler and new motherboard because my 5670 cant fit in this one. :sarcastic:

I know theese are old CPUs and all that, but i dont really need high end PC. I use it mostly for gaming at 1366x768 and surfing Internet.

Few more questions, are LGA775 stock coolers more quiet than AMD-s AM2+,AM3 coolers?
Can q6600 fit on Dell Optiplex 360 motherboard?

It appears that you may have to stick with the Phenom II.

Here are the CPU's that that Dell supports

Quote:
Intel® Core 2 Duo with Intel, Enhanced Intel Speed Step Technology and Execute Disable Bit
Intel Core 2 Duo E8600 Processor (3.33GHz, 6MB L2 cache, 1333MHz FSB)
Intel Core 2 Duo E8500 Processor (3.16GHz, 6MB L2 cache, 1333MHz FSB)
Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 Processor (3.00GHz, 6MB L2 cache, 1333MHz FSB)
Intel Core 2 Duo E7600 Processor (3.06GHz, 3MB L2 cache, 1066MHz FSB)
Intel Core 2 Duo E7500 Processor (2.93GHz, 3MB L2 cache, 1066MHz FSB)
Intel Core 2 Duo E7400 Processor (2.80GHz, 3MB L2 cache, 1066MHz FSB)

Intel® Pentium dual core with Intel, Enhanced Intel Speed Step Technology and Execute Disable Bit
Intel Core 2 Duo E6300 Processor (2.8Hz, 2MB L2 cache, 1066MHz FSB)
Intel Core 2 Duo E5400 Processor (2.7GHz, 2MB L2 cache, 800MHz FSB)
Intel Core 2 Duo E5300 Processor (2.6Hz, 2MB L2 cache, 800MHz FSB)
Intel Core 2 Duo E5200 Processor (2.5GHz, 2MB L2 cache, 800MHz FSB)

Intel® Celeron dual core with Intel, Enhanced Intel Speed Step Technology and Execute Disable Bit
Intel Celeron Dual Core E1600 Processor (2.4GHz, 512K L2 cache, 800MHz FSB)
Intel Celeron Dual Core E1500 Processor (2.2GHz, 512K L2 cache, 800MHz FSB)
Intel Celeron Dual Core E1400 Processor (2.0GHz, 512K L2 cache, 800MHz FSB)

Intel® Celeron with Enhanced Execute Disable Bit
Intel Celeron 450 Processor (2.5GHz, 512K L2 cache, 800MHz FSB)
Intel Celeron 440 Processor (2.0GHz, 512K L2 cache, 800MHz FSB)

It doesn't support the Q6600 (No C2Q's at all, in fact).

Thank you for your help.

Is 775 stock cooler louder or more quiet than AM2+, AM3 stock cooler?

I'm honestly not sure, but stock coolers from either manufacturer are always loud, so it probably wouldn't be much quieter.
