Hey guys I'm planning on building my first computer i've been reading these forums for a few weeks now and it convinced me to build my own.
My budget is 1300$.

Approximate Purchase Date: Mid June

Budget Range: 1300$ after rebates

System Usage from Most to Least Important: Diablo 3, Surfing the internet..

Parts Not Required: Keyboard, Mouse, Speakers, Case (Corsair 500R)

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: No preference, I know that memoryexpress matches every prices/shipping/bundle and beats the difference by 25% so might go with them.

Country: Canada

Parts Preferences: Intel CPU, Nvidia GPU

Overclocking: Yes (Not Now)

SLI or Crossfire: No

Monitor Resolution: 1920x1080

Additional Comments: Planning on OC'ing but not now I'll get a better CPU cooler when I decide to OC. Needs to include OS and Monitor. I'd like it to be futureproof
if possible. I also really want an SSD

So far thats what I came out with I'd like some comments on this, I'm open to suggestions.

I know the GPU might be overkill for those games but I'm mostly a console gamer and I never had a capable computer so this might change.

I'll buy an HDD later if needed as I won't be storing music/pictures/videos.

Thanks for your help!

Wow thanks for the fast answers! I have another question though.. Soon I'll be moving in a new appartment with my gf so this might cut the budget a bit (about 250$). Do you guys have any suggestions on a cheaper GPU that would run Diablo 3 on max settings? I'll just wait until everything settles down before getting a better quality GPU.

You can get a GTX560Ti for ~$240-260 and that will shave off some (it'll handle all new games on high settings), but you'll need a case which will add some expense. I'd look at the $40-70 cases like the Antec 300, CM Haf 912, and Lian Li First Knight.

Oh okay. well consider dropping to the GTX560 Ti (MSI's TwinFrozr are really good) and that'll save you some.

Go to the "Search" at the top of the Direct Canada site and type in: gtx 670

They still have some Galaxy 670's in stock but not for long.
