Hello,

I'm new on this forum, I'm a photographer.
I need a new system to run photoshop, lightroom and other photo software.
I has to be low on budget and would be nice if it will be quiet computer.
Actually I need two computers:

One needs to be cheap machine for games:
I choosed: Celeron D 3.06, cheap mobo (which one?)
512 Mib RAM - hard drive and others I will take from old computer.
Which budget PCiExpress graphics? Radeon X550? or Nvidia?

The other for photos:
Which processor:
Intel Pentium D 805 - 2.66Ghz or Intel Pentium D 930 - 3Ghz,
for sure 2Gig RAM
Which cheap mobo for which processor?
I found some cheap mobos for D805 but I could't find cheap mobo
for D920? Need to support Visualisation Technology.
Or better to choose cheaper D805 and water colling (I can buy one local production for about 55usd - in Poland)
Or even wait for any budget Conroe (but it seems mobos will have high prices)?

sorry for so many questions,

regards,

Maciek [vobo]

If you need a very cheap/performing combination consider a sempron 2800+ or 3100+ (semprons perform better than celerons and are much cooler/quieter) and a socket 754 mombo; the whole thing will float around $80-110 and if you slightly overclock it will perform even better.
For the second PC consider a new Conroe otherwise go with the 805; it's a good all-rounder. If not going to heavily multitask, think of a 3800+.
