i use Maya and after effects and play some 3D games

is AMD Radeon HD 6870 Graphic Card work fine in Maya?

Yes it will be fine.Maya benefits more from CPU/RAM,so make sure you have a decent combination of them(such as quad core CPU along with 4GB+ RAM)

Well actually Maya doesn't depend only in the GPU, so system specs please. Just make sure you have A good processor by the way. Yes, 6870 is fine and make sure again you can put a 6870 on your system.
