An AMD A4-3300 and an ASUS F1A55-M LX will cost 122$ with free shipping. Add some 25$ ddr3 PC3-1600 ram with free shipping and you'll have a nice for 160$. And add some flowers and chocolate with the remaining money for mother's day and that will make her happier that with a 225$ computer for sure!

if she needs just a speedy response kind of build, go with a sandy bridge processor. if she needs a tiny bit more graphical power at the cost of cpu effecientcy, take a A series amd apu. though from what it sounds like, a sandy bridge processor will fit the need better

woops double post

brb giving sugesstioins.

i3-2120 + gigabyte ga-h61m 178$

or

i3-2120 + msi h61m p23 173$

or if you do not need the processing power of the i3 and would rather get a cheaper build,

get combos with a pentium g series(in order of decreasing price/performance):

G850

G620

Yeah I can't see why you'd go i3 I think the g series are fine and cost less.

Also those combos are whacked, g620 with H100 o_O
