New CPU instead of Intel E6750

hi everyone,

I decided to upgrade my current processor, Core 2 Duo processor E6750 2.66GHz 4M FSB1333 (SOcket 775) to something newer. My main concern is whether I can mount it on the motherboard, P35-S3L P35 FSB1333 DDR 800 PCI-E. I'd also prefer to pay less than 300 dollars, so the CPU shouldn't be too advanced.

What are you doing on your comp (gaming, web browsing)?

Are all Intel Socket 775 CPUs compatible with this motherboard?

P4, Celeron Ds , Pentium D, Celeron and pentium dual cores ,core 2 duos, and quads and extreme edition LGA775 CPUS will work in this board.

Yes but most Core 2 LGA775 CPUs are 1333MHz anyway.
