I cant do lan

Hello,
i have 3 computers. i connected it with cat 6 cable using dlink switch. i tested cable with tester its ok. i gave ip 192,168,1,100 as such. but i cant access lan. pls help.

Is there a router behind this dlink switch you mentioned? Have you made sure things like MAC filtering are not turned on before attaching any additional computers?

Why did you give it an IP address rather than letting automatic DHCP take control? Press your Windows key and R together then into the open box, type cmd /k ipconfig /all (including the spaces) then hit Enter. What do you see as the Default Gateway?

That's actually a good point. Most Dlink hardware assigns IP addresses via DHCP in the 192.168.0.1xx range, not 192.168.1.1xx...
