Hey guys I was reading that guild wars 2 is a very cpu intensive game. I get around 20-25 fps normally and around 8-10 in WvW or big events

I built my own system around 2 years ago and am thinking i need a cpu upgrade. In game i usually play with 1680x1050 resolution on a Samsung T200HD

My system specs are :

Gpu:Ati 6850 1gb
Mb: Gigabyte GA-MA785GT-UD3H
Ram: 4gb ddr3 corsair PC3-10700H (667 Mhz)
Cpu: Amd Athlon II x4 620

I was thinking if i looked up the best cpu my Mb could handle and see how it compares to my current one.

What would be the best way to find out what would give me best bang for my buck in terms of upgrading?

Thanks

You will not find any 1100Ts, unless you happen upon one on eBay.

Your best bet is to get a Phenom II X4 965.
AMD Phenom II X4 965 Black Edition Deneb 3.4GHz Socket AM3 125W Quad-Core Processor HDZ965FBGMBOX - $110

I would just wait until either amd or guild war update for better amd cpu support. I have a 550be and a Ati 5750 and I'm also getting the same frame rate 20-30 and 8-12 fps during combat in wvw. While Intel with similar graphic and CPU power will get much higher fps.

If you want a new cpu i'd recommend the AMD Phenom II X4 965 Black Edition. You don't really need more then 4 cores for gaming.
