My config is as follows:

AMD Athlon II X4 630 @ 3.2Ghz on stock cooling
MSI 785GM E51
4 GB DDR3 1333 Corsair
500+160 GB Seagate
SAPPHIRE HD 6850
NZXT Gamma
Seasonic 500 Watt
Samsung 19" LCD 1440x900

Im a student and Im not earning yet, but I managed to save $140 so I wanna upgrade the weakest component of the PC.

Which component is probably slowing me down gaming wise?
Would it be worth shifting to a Phenom II x4?
Or getting a ssd?
Would a monitor upgrade be worth it? Especially since I have a HD6850
I really dont want to upgrade my GPU just yet since I got it last november. Still lemme know if I need a GPU jump.

Thanks :)

The Phenom II does not show significant gains over the Athlon II in gaming or really any other application suite. The HD 6850 is a decent board, plus 150 isn't enough to get a card that's an upgrade. You could consider buying another 6850 for crossfire as that series had some pretty crazy good crossfire scaling. You could probably get away with two of them on your current PSU since they are pretty energy efficient. Your monitor is pretty small but a larger monitor means higher native res which means you will need more graphical power to push the same games. An SSD will provide a great boost to everyday activities and a nice boost to game load speeds.

In Summation

Best Gaming Upgrade
Second HD 6850

Best All Around Upgrade

Thanks for the replies. No doubt a 2nd HD6850 would be the best upgrade, but I have a mATX board with a single PCIe. So that wont be possible. I guess I could sell off the HD 6850 and upgrade to a 7850?
