Yes it should work, what motherboard are you using? You should take a better PSU like this one: http://www.amazon.com/Corsair-Certified-Compatible-Plat...

it's more reliable than the thermaltake and better quality too.
what is the screen resolution? And where are you from? Can you order from somewhere else than amazon?
The video card is getting old and you might find something better depending on budget.

my screen res is at 1366 X 768. i am from lower PA, USA. and yes I can order from somewhere else besides amazon.
My computer is a eMachines ET1831-03.

This psu you linked is great! I will look for a new graphics card although I am not sure the cutoff point for something that would be compatible with 600w psu. If I could get some recommendations for a nice graphics card that would be helpful as well :) .

you could put any GPU with that PSU as long as you don't use CF/SLI.
You probably have a 1.0 PCIe so you shouldn't go with the latest Nvidia 600 or AMD 7000 unless you can find a BIOS update for your MB.

You didn't specified a budget, you can look for something like aquahero said, a GTX 550TI should be plenty for all games because at that resolution the load will be place on the CPU. 1 advice I can give you is try to get a gddr5 video card.
