Need a New Case

Last response: in Components

I am a Electronic music artist, and I use my PC as a workstation for producing music.. I am playing a live show, in 3 weeks, but I either need to borrow a laptop, from a friend, or find a new case, to put my PC parts in, so I can carry it around easier... PC parts are in my signature.

It's an ATX form factor, but I need a really small, compact case, that would be easy to carry around for live shows...

Hope someone can find me a case, cause I have been looking around

Thanks,

Since your rig is in normal ATX form factor, I can't really think of any compact cases off the top of my head; your options are pretty limited IMO.

However, these are some cases that I feel are 'compact' enough to move around :)

Corsair Carbide Series 300R - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...
Cooler Master Elite 430 - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

These two are the only ones I can find that I would personally deem "Compact". Both of these will be significantly smaller than your current CM Storm case, so it should be easier to transport in that respect.

My sig isn't showing -_-, but I have a Thermaltake Armor, and it's big and heavy... Anything smaller would do... Or how about building a light wood case?

Sorry I assumed that the CM Storm was the case due to your signature on your profile :)  -facepalm- I realise That I was thinking of the CM Storm Scout

Actually taking a look at that case...anything I recommended would probably be much lighter and would be easier to carry around. However, I'm not too experienced building my own cases   you may want to ask/wait for some advice for that.

I would prefer something smaller, cause I am taking it to a show, to play live with... Something like this, would be perfect...

lol my bad o.k. hold on i think i know a good one

I actually might use my old ECS/Intel Celeron setup for my live set PC... It's a micro ATX... and it should run Ableton fine...

The smaller the case, the better :3

might be as small as your going to get go for it :D

That's still a bit expensive.. I could make a wood box for cheaper :3

*EDIT* it's a Core 2 Duo with 1GB.. I'll get a cheap 23GB kit of 667 though... that will be decent for a cheap live set pc for when I play music live..

I might however need a new harddrive for the PC.. I don't think an old PATA drive will keep up to well with an Audio Workstation program :3 idk... It's worth a shot..

@ OP

What exactly is your system specifications? If you're looking to get a Bitfenix Prodigy, there's no way in **** your current rig will fit in it. (Assuming it's the one in your siggy)

Well your system is ATX so you need an ATX case, so something compactish with a carry handle should do it, i have used these in the bast for transport builds and they work very well....

BitFenix Survivor, Black, Mid Tower Case with USB 3.0 with Handle
