More about nvidia geforce 9800 supports express
  1. I have a 9800gt in my PCI-e 2.0 x16 slot. But I've read that it can also run in a 1.0 slot. It will work just fine.
  2. yes,Its 100% compatible to backward ports also.
Mine zotac 9800gt is compatible with 1.1 pcie x16 slot (printed on the box itself ) but i am also using it in 2.0 slot.

Don't worry go for it and all the games listed above are fully played on 9800gt and it works fine.
  3. To OP - I had 8800 GTS 512 that is PCIe 2.0 and GTX460 that is also PCIe 2.0 - both running on a PCIe 1.0 slot with no problem, so you should be fine.
  4. my pny gt 9800 will only run in pci express gen 2.0 how do I fix it, or is theres did you get yours fixed, sorry to bring up a old post

There should be no issue regarding this just make sure the card is properly been placed and fitted and installation of proper drivers should be done .

Nothing else you need to care about.
