At this point if your not building an entry level computer you should really go with intel. I use to fight for AMD but they've given up competing the gaming market with their CPU's and now so have i. Go with an 15 2500K, spend the extra $50 you'll be glad you did.

With the FX 8150 encoding and rendering better than even the i7 2600k in some applications, and almost always better than the 2500k you really need to rethink your advice . Its wrong .

Even in gaming at high resolutions and detail setting the intel will have no ,or very little, advantage . If you want to build a powerful computer with a low resolution monitor from 1997 and try and hit 300 FPS then the intel will win . But I havent met anyone who was actually trying to do that yet . Im sure if I ever do they will be of subnormal intelligence
