Hi, I just got my new PC installed and I have 2 GTX 560 Ti 448 Core SLI with dual monitor running at 1920x1080. After viewing many discussions, I realized that the 1280MB ram come with 560 Ti 448 core would not be sufficient for dual monitor running at 1920x1080. If I only play games on one monitor and leave other things on the other, will my two cards capable to handle everything smoothly? Should I reduce resolution? Thanks

I do not think 1.25gb is a real problem for you.

The purpose of sli is to apply the combined power of two gpu's to a single primary monitor for gaming.
A second static display takes minimal resource.

As to how well can you do? Try it!

Disconnect the side monitor and see if you can detect any difference.
Change resolutions and see if it makes any difference.

If you want, you can always add a cheap graphics card for the side monitor.
I have done this in the past, but I really could not tell any diference.

I don't think so it will cause any trouble because your total video memory will be approx 2500 vRAM and your system has 16GB of RAM in which shared memory will be also of great help to your video memory so it can give you approximately 4GB of video memory for the system usage which is sufficient to run any game on single monitor at pretty high resolution like ultra setting without any compromising on performance and quality.

In short don't worry just go for it.

i run 2 monitors (one at 1680x1050 and the other at 1280x1024) with only one gtx 560 ti 448 core and play BF3 on the 1050 one and have temps on the other. It runs fine, (60-70 fps on med-high settings) so you should have no problems with two of these cards. :)
