Sound splitter not working?

I have a sound splitter connecting my bookshelf speakers and my monitor to my motherboard it, used to play back both now it's not, any suggestions?

Test bookshelf and monitor speakers one at a time by directly plugging them into the soundcard without splitter.And swop the two around on the splitter.

Test the splitter on another audio source.

Try finding the problem.
