Hey guys,
I'm using an i5 2500K with the stock cooler and mx-5 TIM
I'm doing some _mild_ overclocking, and i have a few questions.

I started off doing stress testing with everything stock. I was drawing 7-9 watts, and had max temps of about 85. I went and set the voltage at 1.25v, and the multiplier to 35. Now when I stress test, I'm getting temps of about 75, but it's drawing 72 watts. Is this normal? am I doing something wrong?
Here's my system specs:

Fatal1ty profess1onal Z68 Gen3 mobo
8GB G.Skill Sniper RAM @ 2133
XFX Radeon 6870 Double-D
Cooler Master SPH 850 PSU
Stock cooler
128 GB Samsung 830 SSD
Thanks

Well, besides the fact that you shouldn't OC with the stock cooler (although 3.5 on all 4 cores is just 100Mhz over stock max 4 core Turbo anyway), the wattage thing seems slightly strange. Not because it's too high, but because it was extremely low to begin with.

There's no way it was actually at 7-9 watts at full load, even at stock. That's a little less than idle wattage (at least it is on my own 2500K).

Remember, it's a 95W CPU, so max load wattage should be somewhere near that (and even more when OC'd heavily because of the extra voltage required for high OC's).
