A lot of this stuff is usually $5-10 cheaper on Amazon. 1TB HDD is going to be use as a second letter, used for backup. 64Gb SSD and 500Gb HDD will be used with Intel's Smart Response Technology. I already own some of these parts, but feel free to leave a comment if something should be changed. CPU is not up for debate, but everything else is. Please leave a comment!

Thanks,

The SSD plus 500GB HDD is for Intel SRT, and the TB drive is for backups. I may get a 750w for SLI, but I wouldn't be needing it until next year when the 670s are way cheaper. Really the 550W is for price + performance. As to the case, I really don't need something flashy. The 300r does exactly what I need it to do, has USB 3.0 on the front panel, is apparently very quiet and I can easily route cables and make room for larger GPU's for only $70 shipped.

Thanks for the input!

You don't really need that HD setup though - you could drop one and invest the money elsewhere, all you need is a good SSD and secondary hard drive - no need to get more. Put that in your PSU - EVGA recommends minimum of 600W for a 670 so you don't want to skimp if you can help it.

Ratings are usually 30% overshots for liability reasons. I have had far too many hard drives fail on me to not have a backup drive, and I already own the drive anyway.

After doing a little bit of digging, I'll definitely consider that PSU for futureproofing reasons.
